Michigan Welfare Rights is calling for three days of demonstrations as we demand our right to not suffer because of a DTE and a FIA policy that threatens to kill both children and seniors! ALL neighborhoods are in danger unless we have a moratorium against utility shut-offs from November through April. Water should never be shut off! Any senior citizen who reaches 60 years of age, should be exempt from paying water bills ever again. Millions of dollars in unpaid utility bills are in corporate bank accounts.
